In the course of recent weeks the following legislative acts have, among others, entered into force: · Regulation (EC) no. 1726/2001 of the European Parliament (EP) and the Council, of 23/7/2001 that amends article 21 of Regulation (EC) no. 1292/96 of the Council regarding the policy and management of food aid and specific measures in support of food security (GUCE L 234, 1/9/2001); · Regulation (EC) no. 1852/2001 of the Commission, of 20/9/2001, that establishes precise norms to render some information accessible to the public and for the protection of information presented in conformity with Regulation (EC) no. 258/97 of the EP and the Council (GUCE L 253, 21/9/2001); · Decision of the Commission, of 26/9/2001, that abrogates the Decision 97/150/EC establishing a European advisory Forum for the environment and sustainable development (GUCE L 258, 27/9/2001). The following proposals have also been published, among others: · Proposed modification of Directive of the EP and of the Council amending Direttive 76/207/EEC of the Council relating to the implementation of the principle of equality of treatment between men and women as regards access to work, training and professional promotion and working conditions (GUCE C 270E, 25/9/2001); · Proposed Regulation of the EP and of the Council relating to cross-border payments in euros (GUCE C 270E, 25/9/2001).
