For the 17th World Youth Day – to be held in Toronto from 23 to 28 July on the theme “You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world” three organizing committees have been set up in Switzerland, one for each of the country’s three linguistic zones. In preparation for the great Canadian event, an internet site has also been set up – www.jmj.ch in which young people can find all the information and explanations they require concerning the theme of the World Day, its programme and testimonies, travel details, news, addresses and enrolment forms. “In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in the United States – said Bishop Denisd Theurillat on presenting the new site the light of the world has been obscured. I hope that, in their prophetic dimension, the sentinels of the morning, in Toronto next year, will announce the victory of good over evil, the victory of the resurrection over death, the victory of love over hatred.
