IRSE (the Regional Institute for European Studies of Friuli Venezia Giulia) has announced its 25th annual international competition “Europe and Youth”. Eligible to take part in it are students at universities and schools of every order and grade throughout the Italian regions, the Alpe Adria Community and the children of Italians resident for reasons of work in the countries of the EU. Youngsters participating in the competition are asked to write brief essays on fourteen subjects proposed, ranging from Islam in Europe to globalization, from non-profit organizations to the tourist industry, from biotechnology to the Internet.
