A joint letter to president Putin to raise the problem of tax on religious organizations and the preparation of a series of meetings and round tables on bioethics and the integrity of human life: these are just some of the major issues addressed by the interconfessional Christian committee that met in recent days at the department for foreign relations of the Patriarchate of Moscow in the presence of Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk. Also present at the meeting were Msgr. Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, apostolic administrator of northern European Russia, and representatives of the Protestant Churches. As regards the themes of life and the need to protect it, the Churches decided to organize a round table on 17 April and a conference in the autumn.
