A conference is being held in Moscow from 6 to 8 June to discuss bioethics and to present a project aimed at the prevention of abuse against minors. The meeting was promoted by the European Institute of Bioethics, established in Brussels last November with the aim – declares its secretary general Emma Vanna Garro – “of promoting a general interest in bioethics and the family, sensitizing public opinion and increasing the analysis of the legislation of the European countries in terms of bioethics”. . The Institute’s objectives also include training courses within schools, aimed at teachers, pupils and their parents, publications, research, seminars, scholarships and exchanges between youngsters to promote “European citizenship”.
