An appeal to holidaymarkers not to succumb to the passion for speeding and not to drink alcohol before driving has been made by Bishop Georges Gilson of Sens-Auxerre (France). Speed and alcohol – he says – are the main causes of “often fatal road accidents” and are therefore “a sin against oneself and against others”.
