150 different peals of bells, of every variety, can now be heard on the site www.campaners.com, a venture born in Valencia which transmits on line, for the first time, the sounds of bells and clocks of 150 churches in the area. The sounds are available in MP3 format and are almost all of Valencian origin, with the exception of a few from other regions of Spain. Local bell-ringers have formed an association which now has 240 members, all volunteers. The website includes information on the bells, news items, possible denunciations by neighbours less enthusiastic about bell-ringing, as well as background articles, technical data, doctoral theses and bibliography on campanology.
