John Paul II’s visit to Croatia is scheduled to take place from 5 to 8 June. Msgr. Renato Boccardo, in charge of the organization of papal journeys, has already made an on-the-spot inspection to define the details of what will be the Pope’s third journey to Croatia. The programme envisages visits to five cities in the country. Meeting representatives of the government and of the Episcopal Conference, Msgr. Boccardo confirmed that the Pope would only visit the Republic of Croatia and not continue his journey to Bosnia Herzegovina. Throughout the whole period of his visit, John Paul II is expected to reside in the city of Rijeka.
