The national meeting of Catholic youth will be held in Bern on 5-6 June next year. The event is announced in a press release of the Swiss Bishops’ Conference, dated 28 April, which also announces the probable presence of John Paul II at the event. In that case, a large site close to the Arena of Bern would be chosen as a venue, to be able to contain all the people wishing to participate. The hope of seeing the Pope in Switzerland is great, says the communiqué. An organizing committee is now being formed from youth representatives of the various linguistic regions, exponents of the ecclesial movements and delegates of the Swiss Bishops’ Conference. For those who would like to support the event a current account has been opened in the name of “Meeting of Catholic youth”, Ccp 17-267188-9
