The Reformed and Lutheran Churches of Holland have reached a point of “fusion” at the end of a process begun in 1990. They now form the “Protestant Church of the Netherlands”. The act of union was signed by the presidents of the two Churches in the course of a ceremony in which Queen Beatrice and Cardinal Adrianus Simonis, Primate of the Dutch Catholic Church, also participated.
