Held in the immediate aftermath of EU enlargement and on the eve of the Festival of Europe, the event has as its slogan: “How big is your world?”. It will “enable the participants say the organizers to better understand the challenges of globalization, not to passively suffer it, but to become its active protagonists”. Democratic governance, the political participation of the young, human rights, culture, traditions and “diversity”, sustainable development, peace, education and work “will be some of the issues tackled not just by experts, but especially through the experience of the young themselves”, who come from the world of youth clubs, universities and civil society. A village-forum will be organised in the park facing the headquarters of the Council of Europe on the afternoon of Thursday 6 May.
