The European Commission has published the list of the 14 pilot projects selected following the call for tenders “Knowledge Regions” (KnowREG) published last year. The projects, which will benefit from an overall EU co-financing of 2.5 million euros, mainly concern the following sectors: the definition of regional strategies for research and innovation; the production of operational models for public and private partnership structures; the creation of links between the different subjects active in the process that leads to innovation; networking links with interested partners in other Regions that share complementary technological potential; the promotion of an environment favourable to research and innovation; and the development of regional models for the management of knowledge.
