Europe: meeting of CEC Commission for dialogue” “

The new “Church in Dialogue” Commission of the Conference of European Churches (CEC) is holding its first plenary meeting in Aarhus, in Denmark. The fifteen new members of the Commission are tackling issues relating to dialogue between the religious Churches and communities. Also participating in the meeting in the role of observers are exponents of the Council of the European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE), and the president and general secretary of the CEC, Jean-Arnold de Clermont and Keith Clements. The Commission must elect its moderator and vice-moderator and discuss on what priorities to work. The questions on the agenda include relations with the Orthodox and Reformed Churches, the common missions of the churches in Europe, relations between majority and minority churches, and cooperation between theological faculties and educational institutes.
