Having fun and learning at the same time. Playing games with the aim of understanding the origins, objectives and working of the Union of the Twenty-Five. That’s the sense of “EuropaGo”, whose slogan is appropriately: “Learning about Europe can be fund”. The new EU computer game is now available on the Internet. It can be accessed through the EU portal www.europa.eu.int and is currently translated into eleven languages: Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish and Finnish. Its devisers explain that “it’s divided into four sections, and from each of them various aspects of the Community can be learnt”: history, new member states, the euro… Lastly various questionnaires are made available “to test one’s own knowledge of the Union”. The sections within the website are various: the classification of the twenty best players, a space dedicated to those who wish to enrol in the family of EuropaGo, the option of downloading various screensavers with images of the Old Continent, and of course a link with the official site of the EU for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of Community policies, the process of integration from the origins to the present day, EU law, and current issues in the life of the Twenty-Five. ———————————————————————————————————– Sir Europa (English) N.ro assoluto : 1311 N.ro relativo : 51 Data pubblicazione : 08/07/2004
