www.etwinning.net That’s the Internet address of “eTwinning”, the new initiative of the European Commission launched in Brussels on 14 January with the objective of promoting twinnings between European schools through the use of the internet and the new technologies of information and communication. The initiative which forms part of the EU’s eLearning programme aims to raise the awareness of European youth about the multicultural and multilinguistic model of the EU by funding projects for the creation of long-term partnerships between at least two primary and/or secondary schools in at least two member states to permit joint educational activities. eTwinning is also aimed at providing help for teachers, by acting as a means for the diffusion of information on European integration, stimulating the use of the new technologies and favouring the exchange of good practices in teaching methods. ———————————————————————————————————– Sir Europa (English) N.ro assoluto : 1355 N.ro relativo : 4 Data pubblicazione : 19/01/2005
