Turkey: a symposium on St. Paul” “

The 9th Pauline Symposium on “Paul the apostle between Tyre and Antioch – archaeology, history and religion” will be held at Tarsus and Antioch from 26 to 28 June. Promoted by the Franciscan institute of spirituality at the Antonianum Pontifical University and by the “Mustafa Kernal” University at Hantakya, the symposium will be attended by numerous academics and experts. Various aspects will be debated: from the history of Christianity in Turkey to Sufism and interfaith dialogue, from St. Paul’s apostolate to the Fathers of the Church. The main speakers will include Mehmet Tekin of the University of Antakya, Kenan Gursoy of the University of Galatasaray, Romano Penna of the Lateran University and the Greek-Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo, Paul Yazigi.
