A meeting attended by some 70 national experts in the youth sector was held in Brussels on 21-22 June. Organized by the European Commission, the conference brought together representatives of ministries for youth, webmasters who run national portals for youth and representatives of the various networks that work with and for youth: Euridesk, the Association of European University Students (AEGEE), the European Youth Forum (EYF), the European Association of the Youth Charter (EYCA) and the European Agency for Youth Information and Advice (ERYICA). The main points on the agenda included the presentation of examples of models for the proper digital information of the young, and the development of comprehensive, coherent and coordinated information services adapted to their needs. The event was a step forward in creating new opportunities for youth and developing and improving interactive information services at the European and national level. There are already many internet portals for youth activated by the EU and others.
