Ukraine: school for wise use of the media” “

The first school for “a wise use of the media” has recently opened in Ukraine. Among the main questions to be tackled: the risks posed by Internet, how to differentiate rock music and satanic music, and the culture of pornography. The school was inaugurated in Kiev on 10 February by the Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine, Archbishop Ivan Jurkovic, in the building housing the Catholic Centre for the Media. This project, said Jurkovic, “is the first step towards a greater maturity in the wise use of the media”. The school, he continued, “is a seed that will bear good fruit for the good of all of us and also for the good of society as a whole, the Church and the world”. The school is a new project of the Catholic Centre for the Media. The courses last three months. The main aim is “to educate those who work in the fields of the Christian ethics that will be taught in the primary schools of Ukraine”.
