Romania: in the sign of suffering

A year after his death John Paul II will be remembered in the archdiocese of Bucharest on 2nd April with a solemn mass officiated by the Metropolitan Archbishop Ioan Robu. On the same day, special celebrations to commemorate his life and pontificate will be held in all the parishes. In Bucharest some parishes are organizing hours of eucharistic adoration on the days preceding the 5th Sunday of Lent (2 April). On 6 April, the Jesuit Tadeusz Rostworowski and Fra Matthieu Gosse, of the Congregation of St. John, will speak on the theme of “Man and suffering in the teaching of John Paul II” at the Anton Durcovici Academy of Theology/ St. Teresa Theological Institute in Bucharest.
