A day of biblical animation against torture

ACAT (Action of Christians for the abolition of torture) in French-speaking Belgium is promoting a day of biblical animation in Brussels on 10 June, with the title “Living with and without fear”. The meeting intends to reflect on four biblical texts: “the episode of pharaoh and the people of Israel, Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter’s denial and Jesus stilling the storm. Its aim is to examine, also with the help of various techniques of animation, the motivations and arguments to combat fear in man. The initiative forms part of a series of events in preparation for an international seminar on the abolition of torture planned for next year.
