The new Director of the Holy See’s Press Room is Father Federico Lombardi. Benedict XVI has, in fact, accepted the resignation presented by Joaquín Navarro-Valls as Director of the Vatican’s Press Room and “thanked him for his long and generous service”, says a statement put out by the Press Room on 11 July. Father Lombardi also remains Director General of Vatican Radio and Head of the Television Centre.
