The first virtual game on how to become MEPs has been introduced by the Schuman Foundation in Warsaw. The Foundation, aimed at “the promotion of European ideals”, “was concerned by the low voter turnout in the European elections in Poland”. To this end – explains Micha? Kwietniewski, in charge of the project – a virtual game, especially addressed at the young, was realized “to heighten awareness and familiarize citizens with the largest Parliament in the world”. The over 3,000 Polish participants have now convinced the EP to widen the project to the Community level.
