Debate on a bill aimed at introducing a curfew for minors recently began in the Polish Parliament. The bill prescribes that, after a certain time, minors shall only be able to frequent public places if accompanied by adults. The introduction of these regulations will be decided by the local authorities that will also have discretionary powers to establish the age of youth subjected to the curfew. The debate on the issue has been fuelled by recent cases of bullying which have aroused the indignation of public opinion and drawn attention to adolescents not properly controlled by their parents.
