“A European network of trades-unionists and researchers with the aim of formulating new ideas and promoting studies and research on such issues as employment, social protection, immigration, the participation of citizens and the development of the territory”: that is the intention of the founders of the association ASEGE (European Social Actor for a European Governance), a network of research and formation established in Turin, on the initiative of the Department of International Policy of the CISL (Italian Federation of Trades Unions), CISL Piedmont, Solidarnosc Malapolska (Poland), academics at the LUMSA University in Rome, at the Universidad Extremadura in Spain and the Universytet Jagellonski in Poland. Also thanks to the creation of a portal on the Internet, analysis and research will be placed at the disposal of trades-unionists and the public at large. The Scientific Committee of the association consists of Andrea Ciampani (LUMSA); Florencio Vicente Castro (Universidad Extremadura); Malgorzata Kiwior-Filo (Universytet Jagellonski); and Pierre Tilly (Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium). The forthcoming joining of the network by such trades-union organizations as the Spanish Ugt Extremadura, and the French CFDT and CFTE Rhone-Alpes has already been announced.
