The 2007 Communication Prize – promoted by the Media Commission of the Swiss Bishops’ Conference – will be presented to the editorial team of the magazine Ferment at Ebikon (Lucerne) on 26 August. Published by the Pallottine Fathers at Gossau (St. Gallen) since 1959 – says a press release of the Swiss episcopate announcing the winner of the prize – the magazine “is characterized by the presentation of spiritual themes through photos of high quality accompanied by carefully selected texts that invite contemplation and reflection”. “The prize – continues the communiqué – is intended to be an act of recognition of the work performed by the magazine in giving visibility to the richness of the Christian message and Christian life and in arousing in its readers the re-awakening or development of a deeper Christian conscience”. In its September number Ferment will present, in words and images, the social project “Paradiesgassli” being conducted by a social workgroup on the streets of Lucerne. Info: http://www.ferment.ch.
