“Reflecting on the prospects of the university pastoral in Europe”, in the run-up up the Process of Bologna due to end in 2010. This is the main goal of the yearly meeting of the delegates of the University Pastorals of the European Bishops Conferences, promoted in Zagreb from 21st to 23rd September by the Commission for Catechesis, School and University of the Council of European Bishops Conferences (Ccee). The meeting – which takes places just a few months after the European meeting of university lecturers in Rome (21-24 June 2007) with over 3 thousand lecturers – will be opened by the Bishop Marek Jedraszewski, deputy president of the Ccee Commission. The initiative, coordinated by mgr. Lorenzo Leuzzi, in charge of the Department for the University Pastoral of the Diocese of Rome, will offer moments of reflection on such subjects as the walk of university lecturers, the European meeting of university students in 2009, and the training of university chaplains. The focus of the meeting, explains the promoters, will be a confrontation on the “Lineamenta” of university pastoral, chaired by father Augustin dell’Agua, in charge of the University Pastoral of the Spanish Bishops Conference and a member of the Ccee Commission; card. Josip Bozanic, archbishop of Zagreb and deputy president of Ccee, will close the meeting.
