There is great concern for the situation of Churches in Kenya. Methodist Pastor Samuel Kobia, Secretary General of the Ecumenical Council of Churches, launched an appeal for parties to establish negotiations as soon as possible “in order to a achieve a political non-violent solution on post-electoral disputes”. The Orthodox displayed their concern for the situation of the Orthodox Church in Kenya which is also a victim of acts of violence broken out after the presidential election of December 27.
