Over the last week, the following legislative acts and communications, among others, came into force: · Decision of the Council, of 16/10/2001, relating to the signature on behalf of the European Community of the protocol against the illegal manufacture and traffic of firearms, their parts and components and ammunition, annexed to the convention of the United Nations against organized transnational criminality (GUCE L 280, 24/10/2001); · Monetary Convention between the Italian Republic, on behalf of the European Community, and Vatican City State and through it the Holy See (GUCE C 299/1, 25/10/2001); · Common Position (EC) no. 27/2001, of 25/6/2001, defined by the Council, deliberating in conformity with the procedure specified in article 251 of the treaty instituting the European Community, with a view to the adoption of a decision of the EP and the council regarding EU measures to provide incentives in the employment sector (GUCE C 301/14, 26/10/2001); · Decision of the Commission, of 17/10/2001, amending the annexes of Decision 97/101/EC of the Council that establishes a reciprocal exchange of information and data provided by networks and individual stations for the measuring of atmospheric pollution in the member States (GUCE L 282/69, 26/10/2001); · Audit Court Special Report no. 6/2001 on milk quotas accompanied by the replies of the Commission (GUCE C 305, 30/10/2001).
