The ecumenical consultation has reached a successful conclusion: the “Message of the Churches” on the social and economic future of Switzerland has been published. “By means of the ecumenical consultation the project leaders write in a letter we have experienced what it means to be a listening Church… The end of the Consultation does not however mean the end of these discussions. Mutual willingness needs to be developed wherever believers and non believers daily share experiences, motivations and life.“. The paths forward indicated in the Message – the letter says – deserve to be examined…the search for answers must remain collective, i.e. involve not only the Churches and believers, but also all people of good will”. They must be at the side of the weakest, to guide society towards solidarity, justice and hope. “The future the letter declares needs to be built in the heart of the present”.
