Greece: the KEK meeets Christodoulos ” “

Two delegates of the “Church and Society” Commission of the KEK (Conference of European Churches) had a meeting in recent days with His Beatitude Christodoulos, archbishop of Athens and all Greece. At the centre of the talks in the Greek capital was the role of the Churches in the Convention for the future of Europe and relations with the institutions. Archbishop Christodoulos expressed two main concerns: the need to promote the Christian roots on which Europe rests and the need to reinforce “the sense of identity of the peoples of Europe at a time when, due to globalization, many believe that cultural ties are a “cause or danger of fundamentalism”.
