The EP will meet in plenary session in Strasbourg from Monday 8th to Thursday 11 April 2002. The main points on the agenda are as follows: · Joint discussion on security and penal law; · Joint discussion on immigration, frontiers, asylum and visas; · Joint discussion on defence and armaments; · Declaration of the Council: defence policy, EU/NATO relations and use of depleted uranium in Afghanistan; · Protection of juveniles and of human dignity (rapporteur: Beazley); · Cooperation with third countries in the field of higher education (rapporteur: De Sarnez); · Declaration of the Commission Second World Assembly of the United Nations on ageing (Madrid, 8-12 April 2002).
