In the course of last week, the following legislative acts and communications, among others, came into force: · Communication of the Commission – Multisectorial discipline of regional aid allocated to major investment projects (OGEC C 70/8, 19/3/2002); · Communication of the Commission – Aid to rescue and restructuring and aid to plant closure in favour of the steel industry (OGEC 70/21, 19/3/2002); · Final adoption of the rectified and supplementary budget no.1 of the European Union for the financial year 2002 (OGEC l 81/1, 25/3/2002); · Directive 2002/14/CE of the EP and of the Council, of 11/3/2002, that establishes a general framework relating to the information and consultation of workers (OGEC L 80/29, 23/3/2002); · Joint declaration of the EP, the Council and the Commission on the representation of workers (OGEC L 80/34, 23/3/2002).
