The “Renewable Trimestral Programme” is the system adopted by the services of the European Commission to facilitate communication in terms of the programming of the measures that the Executive intends to adopt on a quarterly basis. Initially designed for the information of the other EU institutions to permit the joint drawing up of timetables and sessions of work, the RTP is now accessible to the general public in its original Anglo-French version on the Internet: the programme’s website is www.europa.eu.int/comm/off/work_programme/2002/rolling_programme. The RTP represents a useful means of information, also for the public at large, given that the measures reported subdivided by thematic areas are accompanied by a brief description, by the juridical framework and by motivations of a political order.
