Sentence of the Court of Justice of the European Communities in lawsuit C-55/00, Elide Gottardo against Italy’s Istituto Nazionale Previdenza Sociale (INPS), 15 January 2002. The benefits deriving from a bilateral convention between one member state and a third state must be granted, as a general principle, to workers of other member states who are not contractual parties of the said convention.
