The 21st annual meeting of the general secretaries of the Episcopal Conferences of Europe will be held in Berlin from 24 to 28 May. On the agenda: the organization of the secretariat of an Episcopal Conference and relations between it and spirituality, the mass media, culture and the institutions. Other issues in the foreground of discussions: the process of European unification and the position of COMECE; the situation of the Church in Germany, and the collaboration between the European Episcopal Conferences and the Ökumenischer Kirchentag. The speakers will include the president of the German Bishops’ Conference, Cardinal Karl Lehmann.
