Pastoral care is in the hands of 12 bishops, 844 secular priests, and 296 religious priests. There are 9 permanent deacons, 41 professed male religious, 801 nuns, 441 catechists, and 137 seminarians. The Church runs 3 hospitals, 12 retirement homes, 2 kindergartens, 10 family advice centres, and 6 re-education centres. In the field of education the Church runs 9 nursery and 4 lower secondary schools.
