GDP recovering” “

The Commission’s Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published the data relating to the positive trend of Community Internal Product for the third quarter of 2003. The growth is translated into a 0.4% growth in GDP, both as regards the Europe of the Fifteen and the 12 countries of the Eurozone. This increase is attributable especially to the boom in exports (+1.9% on average), the recovery in family consumption (+0.2) and the decrease of the total volume of investments. Another decisive factor for the growth of GDP is the contemporary recovery of the economies of the USA (+2%) and Japan (+0.6%), in confirmation of the improvement of the international business cycle. According to the most recent estimates of the Union of Swiss Banks (UBS), GDP in the Community is set to rise further to 2% in 2004, accompanied by a fall in the inflation rate which ought not to exceed an average 1.4%. ———————————————————————————————————– Sir Europa (English) N.ro assoluto : 1264 N.ro relativo : 4 Data pubblicazione : 22/01/2004
