“Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church on the collaboration of men and women in the Church and in the world”: that is the title of a document that the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith will publish on Saturday, 31 July. The new document was announced by the Holy See’s Press Room on 29 July, noting that the 37-page text will be distributed in Italian, French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. The new document of the Vatican Congregation headed by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger follows in the footsteps of two other documents dedicated by the Pope to women: the Apostolic Letter Mulieris Dignitatem, of 15 August 1998, and the Letter to Women of 29 June 1995.
