In Switzerland too, the Jubilee of the 40th anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Council will be commemorated with a series of conferences promoted by the four theological Faculties of Switzerland (Chur, Fribourg, Lucerne and Lugano). Each faculty will propose the examination of a conciliar text through the reflections of historians and theologians. The conferences will begin at the University of Chur on Sunday 30 January and end at Fribourg with a symposium on interreligious dialogue “40 years after the Declaration Nostra Aetate“. The day of commemoration will take place at the abbey of Einsiedeln on 8 December with a mass officiated by Cardinal Godfried Danneels, archbishop of Malines-Bruxelles.
