The Conference of European Churches (CEC) and the Catholic theological faculty of the University of Graz (Austria) have announced that the Second Consultation of the European Theological Faculties will be held in Graz from 6 to 9 July 2006 on the theme “The challenges of theology in a pluralist society”. Some seventy representatives of Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and Anglican theological institutes around the world have been invited to participate. “Theological studies – explains the presentation of the meeting – are challenged by the complexity of the process of European integration, also in view of the prospects being opened by the so-called “Bologna process” which is aimed at harmonizing academic qualifications and ensuring the quality of higher education throughout Europe.
