There will be 22 Danish youth a small but significant number who will depart from Copenhagen by bike bound for World Youth Day in Cologne. “The pilgrimage explains Daniel Norgaard, seminarist and coordinator of the Danish presence at WYD in Cologne is being promoted by the Association of Danish Catholic Youth. We hoped to be at least 200, but we have now reached a figure of roughly 150, of whom 22 will depart by bike from Sonderborg. A group of Danish youth who form part of the Neocatechumenal Way and also a group of Vietnamese Catholics from Denmark will also participate in WYD”. The invitation to participate in WYD in Cologne was made by the diocese of Copenhagen in all 50 Danish parishes and also in various Catholic schools. “Those who have signed up adds Norgaard are convinced young Catholics, keen to meet other like-minded youth with whom they share the same faith. Three young Protestants are also included in our group”.
