On 29 June, with a special message of Benedict XVI to mark the occasion, the broadcasts of the radio station “Radio Maria” also began in Vilnius and its surrounding area. Lithuanian “Radio Maria”, member of the world association of “Radio Maria”, was created in June 2003 and began to transmit from Kaunas on 31 August last year. Its director is Father Oskara Volskis.
