A conference dedicated to the drawing up of the Catechism of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church (UGCC) ended on 23 June, in the Seminary of the Holy Spirit in Lvov. The document, “Christ is our Pasch”, which is intended to help reinforce the faith received in baptism, is aimed at faithful of the Greek-Catholic Church in Ukraine and in the diaspora. Its content reflects the Christian faith as enshrined in the tradition of Kiev for the last 1000 years. The process of drafting the Catechism has been long: it already has behind it the creation of the conceptual basis of the work, its approval by the Synod of Bishops and the drafting of the texts according to the programme. The aim of the conference was to promote knowledge of the integral text of the UGCC Catechism. During the conference, the participants, including theologians from various UGCC dioceses and exarchates in the Ukraine and abroad, analysed the content, offered observations and additions, and attempted a general evaluation of the work.
