The Bishop of Padua Antonio Mattiazzo will be in Romania from 5 to 9 June to receive an honorary degree from the “Patriarch Justinian” Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Bucharest. The ceremony is due to take place today, 7 June, when Monsignor Antonio Mattiazzo will give a “lectio” on the theme: “The social doctrine of the Church. Theological foundation”. The announcement of the award came from Nicolas Necula, dean of the Theological Faculty of Bucharest. It is expected that the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church Teoctist, the Apostolic Nuncio in Romania Archbishop Jean-Claude Périsset, the Rector of the University of Bucharest and other Romanian prelates will be present at the ceremony.
