30 days of prayer for the Muslim faithful who are about to celebrate the period of Ramadan: that’s the initiative being promoted by the Swiss Evangelical Alliance. It began on 24 September (until 24 October) and is enjoying some success, as reported by a statement of the Alliance. No less than 28,000 copies of the prayer booklet linked to this ‘action’ have been sold in German-speaking Switzerland alone and purchase orders are flowing in from neighbouring countries. The Swiss Evangelical Alliance is an umbrella organization representing Christians of the Free Evangelical churches and affiliated movements. Some estimates speak of roughly 250,000 members.
