The third meeting of the Greek Catholic Church on the family was held in Athens in recent days. Over 200 delegates from all over Greece and representatives of the Catholic institutions in the country met to debate the Church, community and society in the light of the family’s needs. During the conference various delegates stressed the concern of the bishops “as a result of the rise in divorces and especially the introduction of legislation by governments that is becoming increasingly hostile to the family”. Diocesan delegates reviewed family pastoral care at the local level.
