"Of this morning’s sermon by the Pope, I liked two passages best: one is the one about the transformation wrought by the Eucharist in young people’s lives". This is the off-the-cuff comment, after the Mass in the esplanade of Marienfeld, of mgr. Domenico Sigalini, bishop of Palestrina, who has a long pastoral experience with the young. "As Benedict XVI reminded us adds the bishop this transformation also impacts on other people’s lives". The second interesting passage, according to mgr. Segalini, is the one in which "Benedict XVI spoke of the oblivion into which God has strangely fallen today. Our boys and girls must really experience the joy of the discovery of Christ, which makes one open up to the others. The Pope’s words have been deeply appreciated. Now it will be up to the teachers, communities and associations to resume them and examine the big issues in further detail".
