"You belong to the young, and the young belong to you". In his address to the Pope at the closing Mass of the WYD, the archbishop of Cologne, Joachim Meisner, added: "So that the young and the Holy Father will not forget, we meet every two years in the WYD, somewhere in God’s fine world. This time, we are in Cologne. Jesus speaks out: Where two or three people are gathered in my name, I am amidst them. But, if one million young people are gathered in His name, such as here in Marienfeld, and in addition with nearly 800 bishops and our beloved Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, then we can’t help touching and feeling Him". Then, Meisner concluded: "Let’s thank God for your being here and for taking here one million boys and girls from 193 different countries".
