This means "we do not build a private God for ourselves, a private Jesus, but that we believe in and prostrate ourselves in front of that Jesus who is shown us by the Scriptures and whom, in the great procession of the faithful called Church, proves Himself to be alive, always by our side and at the same time always in front of us".
