A "barrier-free" catechesis, the one held this morning by cardinal Georg Sterzinsky. Five volunteers specialising in the sign language translated the words of the archbishop of Berlin for the deaf pilgrims, in the church of "Liebfrauen" in Cologne. "The three Wise Men said cardinal Sterzinsky adored Jesus, the son of God. We too are called to adore Him today, to thank Him for the gifts He gives us and for the care He takes of all His creatures". The archbishop of Berlin invited the young to find Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist and to adore God in everyday life. Food for thought on scientific research as well: "Today, sometimes for noble purposes, we are try to use embryos as raw materials. Embryos are already persons, who deserve all our respect. Before such things, our society should defend itself, not to fall into barbarism".
